As Aerison’s Business Development Director, Brian Hooker is responsible for developing new business
and maintaining good existing client relationships. He readily acknowledges the great team of people that
work with him to achieve his responsibilities, and believes he shares a similar work ethic to the rest of the
company, whereby the harder they work, the better they get. This corporate attitude has led to some great
successes for the business, and Brian thoroughly enjoys being part of a team that has now become one of the
leading environmental solutions providers in Australia.
His greatest business lesson learned has been to trust. “As the business has grown, I have had to learn to
trust other people to do things I have traditionally undertaken (and I’m a perfectionist)”, he says.
A member of the WA Mining Club for five years now, Brian considers the main benefit of attending
luncheons is the great networking opportunities they present, plus “it’s about the only time I get to catch up
with Roger Simpson!” quips Brian.

Aerison Pty Ltd provides world-class
technology to reduce the industry’s
impact on the environment. This is
done through a network of technology
partners and licence agreements from
best practice providers of air pollution,
acoustic, power generation and
hydrocarbon service products.
Services include dust collection,
acoustic treatments for gas compressors
and power generation units, odour
control systems such as Regenerative
Thermal Oxidisers, hydrocarbon services,
including diesel tank cleaning and
fuel conditioning, and related asset
and maintenance services.
Aerison primarily services mining and
mineral processing businesses across
Australia. However, the requirement
for noise and odour abatement is
increasingly expanding its client
range to major oil and gas companies,
power generation facilities and
manufacturers also.
Its portfolio reaches from compressor
noise treatment solutions operating
near local residents in New South
Wales to dust control systems for some
of Australia’s largest iron ore mines.
In addition, it can provide Volatile
Organic Compounds (VOC) destruction
technologies to reduce a project’s
greenhouse gas emissions and improve
environmental sustainability.
Aerison systems are compliant with
Australian technical and regulatory
requirements and are customised for both
Australian and international markets.
The name Aerison captures the
company’s two main areas of operation,
combining the Latin words
Aerius
meaning “of the air” and
Sonus
meaning
sound”. It is a business for which
staff exude passion, firmly advocating
a
Clients for Life
policy, whereby
strong client relationships ensure
ongoing success for the business.
