Cazaly Resources is a Perth-based Australian diversified mineral
exploration and resource development company. Cazaly has
built a strong track record for successfully acquiring, developing
and adding value to a range of resource projects.
The company’s recent efforts have centred on its Parker
Range iron ore project in Western Australia’s Yilgarn region,
approximately 15 kilometres south-east of Marvel Loch. The
Parker Range project will initially mine the Mount Caudan
iron ore deposit. The deposit outcrops over a three to four
kilometre long zone within a more extensive 16 kilometre long
mineralised Banded Iron Formation (BIF).
The Parker Range project can produce up to 4.6 million
tonnes per annum (Mtpa) of haematite-goethite ore for an initial
eight to 10 year mine life, with good potential for extending
this through exploration upside and ore body beneficiation.
The economics of the project appear to be very sound with
an internal rate of return of 129% and a net present value of
approximately $384 million.
Cazaly has recently signed a Capacity Reservation Deed with
the Esperance Port. The agreement provides Cazaly with a five
million tonne allocation at the Esperance Port, subject to port
expansion occurring and commercial terms being entered into
with the future operator of the proposed facility.
Cazaly’s Joint Managing Director Clive Jones said, “The
Capacity Reservation Deed shows the commitment that the
state has to assisting miners like Cazaly to help grow the
iron ore industry in the Yilgarn region of WA. We are looking
at a number of alternate interim export options which could
potentially allow for the development of the Parker Range
project prior to the expansion of the Esperance Port.
