WAMC Supporting Future Generations

The WA Mining Club is proud to once again offer a full scholarships program to support emerging mining professionals in 2015.

For more than a decade WAMC has been facilitating a range of scholarships to students whose socio-economic, cultural, geographical or personal circumstances may affect their capacity to pursue education.

In 2014 six scholarships totalling $60,000 were awarded to students studying with four leading education providers; Curtin University, the WA School of Mines, Murdoch University and The University of Western Australia.

Sponsors have included Western Areas, 360 Environmental, Mount Gibson Iron, BC Iron, METS and the Indigenous Construction Resource Group.

The program supports students in the disciplines of geology, mining engineering, metallurgy and environmental science.

We are now opening the door to members who see the value in becoming recognised as a good corporate citizen through being a sponsor.

Business benefits include widespread recognition of support with the company’s branding included across a range of marketing material and complimentary representation at the VIP awards night.

WAMC will also be seeking media coverage and will ensure sponsors are recognised in media releases – giving your company the opportunity to raise its corporate social responsibility profile.
