Our Young Professionals held their quarterly networking event last month Tech it Out – Innovation in Mining. Our panellists included Callum Rideout from Micromine; Mikael Arthursson from Minalyze; Deepshika Mungree from Deloitte and Richard Rowe from Fleet Space Technologies.
The topic was well received and had an amazing line up of mining technology experts from some of Australia’s leading companies. The audience was able to absorb the panellists’ insights and relatable discussions about upcoming technology and how innovative and disruptive technologies are driving the future of mining.
Later in the month, we had our Explorers in the Spotlight luncheon, where the panellists, which consisted of Dudley Kingsnorth, Non-Executive Chairman from Australian Rare Earths Limited; Thomas Line, CEO of Taruga Minerals Ltd; Felicity Repacholi-Muir, Technical Director from Indiana Resources and Ron Mitchell, Managing Director of Global Lithium, spoke about the small end of town’s delicate balancing act and what goes into uncovering and managing assets, in what are still essentially remote frontiers.
In October, we will host our Gala Ball and at our luncheon, will hear from Roy Hill CEO Gerhard Veldsman on Workplace Culture.
We will wrap up the year with our annual St Barbara’s Day luncheon event in November, where Tim will sit down with Sam Walsh AO and discuss his journey in the industry.
