Tom Palmer was appointed Senior Vice President (SVP) of Newmont Asia Pacific in February 2015, following the integration of Newmont’s Indonesian and Australian/New Zealand regions.
Tom joined Newmont in March 2014 and most recently undertook a 12 month period as RSVP for Newmont’s Indonesian business based in Jakarta which included the Batu Hijau operations on Sumbawa Island. Batu Hijau is Newmont’s major copper resource and employs 7000 staff and contractors. During this period Tom was instrumental in working closely with the Indonesian Government on negotiations related to issues associated with amendments to the Contract of Work and renewing export licenses for copper concentrate exports.
Tickets can be purchased individually or as tables of eight $800 or ten $1000. Members: $100, Non-members: $150 and Retired members / students: $50.
