Mark Bennett was the founding Managing Director and CEO of Sirius Resources and is now the founding Managing Director and CEO of S2. He holds BSc and PhD degrees in geology, is a member of the AusIMM and the AICD, and is a fellow of the AIG and the Geological Society of London.

He has worked in Australia, West Africa, Canada and Europe, and has held a variety of exploration, operational and executive roles mainly with WMC and LionOre over a 30 year career.

He is recognised as one of Australia’s most successful explorers and has received various awards for his discoveries, which include the Thunderbox gold mine, the Waterloo nickel mine and most recently the world-class Nova-Bollinger nickel-copper mine.

Mark is also experienced in corporate affairs, equity capital markets, investor relations and community engagement, having grown Sirius from a $5 million penny dreadful to a $1.5 billion miner over the last 3 years, and having led Sirius from the discovery of Nova through feasibility, financing, permitting and development, and also through its recent merger with Independence Group.

He is looking forward to hitting the ground running as MD of S2, and also becoming a director of Independence as a result of the recently completed merger.

Tickets can be purchased individually or as tables of eight. Ticket prices vary according to sponsorship of events, but typical prices are: Members: $100, Non-members: $150 and Retired members / students: $50.  Please advise us if you would like to book a table of ten.

Please note that you must save a copy of your booking form as your tax invoice as we are not able to send invoices or receipts. Once completed, this form becomes a tax invoice.
