Event - Miners Mingle: Owner Operator Vs Contract Mining

Get along to RAC Arena from 5pm on Thu 21^st November, where Matty Michael will referee (the bell will be sounded for first round hostilities from around 6pm) a discussion around the decision to outsource mining to a contractor or do it yourself in-house.

In one corner, talking up the merits of contracting we have Mick Radi, VP Australia (and sporting a vicious left hook) of globally leading underground mining contractor, Barminco. In the other corner we have Newmont’s Boddington Gold Mine GM Operations Chris Dark (said to soften up his opponents with a set of straight jabs prior to the roundhouse knockout blow), arguing the case for when you should sideline contractors and undertake your mining operations in-house. Also stepping into the ring, floating like a butterfly and stinging like a bee, we have Delta Lithium’s Contracts and Procurement Manager Shelley Whittaker to add a level of commercial and legal combat.
