Field review
Regardless of what happens externally – whether it is foreign
exchange rates, commodity prices, or the end of the boom – our
resource and therefore the mine, is likely to be one of the most
robust in the country. I believe we will still be one of the last
standing. So we focus on things that we can influence and we are
fortunate in the nature of our deposit. If truth be told, a post-boom
correction would be beneficial to us in that it should help provide
us with better access to resources, such as labour, at a reasonable
price,” said Mr Bennett.
We are also keen that we maintain the team and culture we
have created – it has been important to Sirius’ success to date, and
I believe it is critical to our success in the future.
There is considerable further exploration potential in the
Fraser Range project with an array of various targets yet to be
drilled. Nearby to the north of Norseman, the company is also
exploring its 100% owned Polar Bear project for gold and nickel
and is currently focusing on the three significant supergene gold
anomalies recently identified in first pass drilling on Lake Cowan.
Our goal is simple – to continue to create value for shareholders
by becoming the lowest cost nickel producer in Australia and
the most successful base and precious metals explorer,” concluded
Mr Bennett.
