CAZALY RESOURCES LTD
as nimble as the AFL legend
As Cazaly Resources’ joint Managing Director, Clive Jones instigates company policy and direction,
and oversees technical and corporate activities.
Cazaly is highly autonomous, and likes to be quick and decisive. As Clive puts it, “We strongly believe
in letting the rocks talk. We get out there and give the rocks a chance to reveal their jewels!”
Cazaly’s exploration successes are largely developed from grass roots principles, followed by good
exploration leading to discovery. A good example is Cazaly’s experiences with the Parker Range iron ore
project where some advised that with no iron ore in the area, they were wasting their time. In fact, Cazaly
has discovered ore worth over $3 billion so far and is keen to do the same with its new copper projects.
As an explorationist, Clive’s biggest professional lesson learnt is to follow good science with perseverance,
and to retain a loyal shareholder base; “Good ideas meets persistence meets funding equals payday”, he says.
Clive has been a member of the WA Mining Club for over seventeen years.

Cazaly Resources is an Australian based
diversified mineral resources company
controlling a sizeable portfolio of
ground largely prospective for Australian
iron ore, copper, gold and uranium.
Cazaly’s recent efforts have centred on
its copper and iron ore projects, including
finalising feasibility studies for its Parker
Range iron ore project (PRIOP) in WA’s
Yilgarn region. The PRIOP can produce
up to 4.6 Mtpa of haematite-goethite ore
for an initial eight to 10 year mine life.
Outside of the PRIOP, Cazaly is focusing
on its Halls Creek and Lynd copper
projects where significant potential
exists to discover and grow existing
copper resources.
Cazaly also owns several iron ore
projects in WA’s Pilbara region, and
are in joint venture with Winmar
Resources to further develop its 368Mt
Hamersley project near FMG’s Solomon
project. The company is also, with
Vector Resources, in joint venture
with Anglo American on a potentially
very large newly recognised iron ore
province in WA’s Earaheedy Basin.
The company retains a philosophy to
develop new projects through
joint venture to expose shareholders
to potential exploration successes
over a range of properties whilst
concentrating on developing its solely
owned key assets.
Cazaly’s small and highly skilled
workforce makes the company very
adept at moving quickly, and being
innovative. The company continues to
work with all stakeholders in accessing
the limited infrastructure available to it
in Western Australia and in particular
exporting ore through WA ports.
Meet WAMC Member – Clive Jones
Cazaly is named after great Aussie Rules footballer Roy Cazaly. “I won the coin toss to use St Kilda’s
colours for the company. Otherwise, you’d see a purple influence”, says Director Nathan McMahon.
