Mining Maintenance Solutions Australia
(
MMSA) offers three tiers of service to
WA mining, civil and government sectors.
It operates a workshop for repairing
mining and earthmoving equipment,
including a field service division of
mechanics, boilermakers and auto
electricians. Secondly, MMSA offers
plant hire of mining and earthmoving
equipment, and thirdly, a labour hire
division specialising in field trade
roles and operators.
Together, the three tiers allow the
company to provide a complete range
of services to its clients – be it a request
for individual personnel, to full system
support offering multiple plant,
personnel and back up maintenance.
MMSA started in 2007 with just two
field service fitters, but now outsources
over 50 personnel to clients and a plant
division exceeding 15. The directors’
experience as heavy duty fitters and their
mining industry experience have given
them excellent working knowledge of
what clients require, and this makes
it easier to find the right personnel,
the best plant equipment, and to
‘
hit the ground running’.
The future of MMSA looks bright,
with a new office and workshop being
constructed to facilitate complete major
plant rebuilds and refurbishments,
and provide a valuable training portal.
The company has also commenced
building an integrated management
system to assimilate its various systems
and processes in to one complete
framework and meet ISO standards.
Aaron Brendon is Managing Director at MMSA. He leads and manages the company, building new customer
relations and strengthening existing client relations.
Aaron likes what he does at MMSA, relishing the challenges the resources industry presents, and
understanding the complexities involved in this dynamic and volatile industry.
The company has developed strong relationships and trust with its clients. It has weathered the global
financial crisis and falls in commodity prices, and despite the effect such factors have had on mining
companies, MMSA has still been able to grow and diversify through the challenges.
Aaron considers it is important to push through the adversities that life can throw up, and find ways of
being successful. As he describes: “I believe that success is a habit that comes as a result of enjoying your
chosen path”.
Aaron has been a WA Mining Club member for over two years now, and attended many events in that time.
He enjoys the opportunity of raising awareness about MMSA’s capabilities, and networking with other guests. “The Club events are also
beneficial for learning what is going on in the industry”, says Aaron.
