As Engenium’s Managing Director, Wayne Peel is responsible for the company’s overall direction, its
operations and performance.
Wayne’s personal values align with Engenium’s way of doing business; both value integrity, meeting
commitments and ensuring they create and deliver something of value to all stakeholders and clients.
One of Wayne’s key achievements is seeing Engenium being endorsed by major clients as a strategic
partner, by granting Engenium multi-year agreements to help them address business problems and deliver
projects successfully on their behalf.
Considering lessons learned, Wayne’s advice is sharp and succinct; “The relationships you build in your
career are your best asset (or liability). Invest in them and use them wisely”.
A WA Mining Club member since 2002, Wayne greatly enjoys meeting people at Club events, and hearing
about the industry through differing perspectives, through boom and down times. Engenium has also proudly
partnered with WAMC through sponsorship of several luncheons and Gala Balls.

Engenium is a leading project delivery
company servicing the mining and
resource sectors, helping deliver projects
from feasibility study stage through to
construction and site commissioning.
Founded in 2003 to focus on project
delivery, Engenium has developed a
reputation for delivering results and
value. The company likes to challenge
methods, and find ways to fast track
new mines, increase mine production,
improve efficiencies and reduce operating
costs. Engenium’s core capabilities
lie in project management, multi-
disciplined engineering, procurement
and construction management services.
Engenium has proven expertise in
mining plants, mining infrastructure,
heavy haul rail and ports.
With offices in Perth, Brisbane and
London, Engenium operates in Australia
and internationally with experience
stretching across iron ore, gold, coal,
mineral sands, manganese and many
other commodities. Clients range
from junior to major blue chip mining
companies including Rio Tinto,
BHP Billiton, FMG and Newmont.
2013
sees Engenium celebrate its 10th
anniversary – a milestone demonstrating
its depth of experience. Executive
Director David Sourbutts was also
recognised as one of WA’s top
40
business entrepreneurs and
professionals under the age of 40 at
the 2013 40under40 Awards.
Clients report how they appreciate
Engenium’s difference to other project
delivery companies – it understands
clients’ business drivers and provides
business solutions, not technical
engineering solutions. Engenium
also has a reputation for helping their
client’s achieve the best value from
their limited project funding.
