As a Partner at Herbert Smith Freehills, Justin Little’s practice focuses on the energy and resources sector,
and he has advised clients in both the mining, and oil and gas industries. Justin oversees the provision
of legal assistance to WA resource companies in all stages of development, from top-tier companies with
global operations to local greenfield explorers. Advice ranges across acquisitions and divestments, corporate
finance, land access, native title, environment, project construction, supply and procurement, commodity
sales and industrial relations.
Invited to join the partnership in 2008, ongoing opportunities have seen Justin take on specific leadership
roles within the firm, such as heading the West Australian mining practice. Justin has learned that you can
be the best lawyer in the world – but your advice will lack context and relevancy if you do not understand
a client’s business or industry.
A member of the WA Mining Club for over five years, Justin values the Club’s networking opportunities.
Attendance at the monthly luncheons gives him and his colleagues a different insight into what is happening in the resources industry.
