HITACHI
respectful of customers and the environment
Mick Woodley is HCA’s Western Region Sales Manager – Mining. As such, he leads the Hitachi sales
team in Perth (covering mining clients across WA, SA and NT) for all sales of the company’s range of
100
to 800 tonne hydraulic excavators. Mick’s team also sells and supports the Hitachi range of mining
trucks, from 65 to 300 tonne carrying capacities.
With its low hourly cost and strong reliability, Hitachi’s hydraulic excavator has led the Australian
market for many years. HCA’s present challenge is for its truck range, with its similar product benefits
and qualities, to be received in the same light. Mick gains great satisfaction from promoting and selling
Hitachi’s exceptional range of products, and has introduced many clients to the brand in the almost two
years he has been with the company. He considers that a clear priority in business is to treat people with
respect, observing, “You need to listen, and always provide the best outcomes for your clients’ requirements”.
A member of the WA Mining Club since 2007, Mick regularly attends Club events. Having attended
functions and events in other states, Mick believes the Club is the best meeting forum in Western Australia.
