PADBURYMINING LTD
Padbury Mining Ltd is a Perth-based
ASX listed mineral exploration company,
primarily focused on iron ore throughout
its tenements in mid-west Western
Australia, supplying the needs of
Chinese steel mills.
Padbury has a JORC resource in the
Telecom Hill project of 925Mt (indicated
and inferred) of magnetite iron ore and
a direct shipping ore (DSO) resource of
11.5
Mt. Spanning over 2,000 square
kilometers, Padbury has a potential
resource of magnetite iron ore which
is estimated between 3.5 to 5 billion
tonnes of magnetite, at an expected
grade of 27%-40% iron ore and
DSO targets.
Given the excellent results of drilling
programs, Padbury intends to undertake
a number of additional exploration and
evaluation programs during the final
half of FY2013.
Padbury Mining’s mission is to increase
shareholder wealth through capital
growth and ultimately dividends
by exploring and discovering viable
mineral deposits and developing
profitable mining operations,
with a particular focus on iron ore.
The significant size of Padbury’s
resource means they are ideally located
to take advantage of the proposed new
port and rail infrastructure at Oakajee.
The company’s drive is to be a major
player in the mid-west region.
Terry Quinn is Padbury Mining’s Executive Chairman, and an affiliate of the Securities Institute of
Australia. He is responsible for building the company into an established producer by focusing on setting
the business plan, executing on 12-month growth strategies and developing long-lasting relationships in Asia.
Terry is well suited to chairing Padbury because he loves a challenge, is committed, and thoroughly enjoys
exploring the ground, “As you never know what you might find”, says Terry. He is very proud of knowing
that the Padbury team is on target to turn what was a small business with potential into one of the current
significant iron ore resource companies in the mid-west.
Terry’s philosophy on life’s setbacks is from a ‘glass half full’ stance. He nominates that his greatest
lesson in life to date has been to understand there is no such thing as failure – only feedback. “You always
have multiple alternatives when things get a little bleak” he says.
A member for over three years, Terry has served on the WA Mining Club Committee since 2011 and
oversees the student scholarship program. He also enjoys the opportunity the Club gives him to meet with “the great characters that
make our industry”.
