Kirsty Danby is the Director of Platform Communications. She provides strategic communications and
management advice to clients, who often consider her an extension to their in-house team.
In its relatively short seven years of operation, Platform has developed a strong portfolio of clients, allowing
it to work behind the scenes on significant projects across the country, with the magnitude of the company’s
client base representing one of Kirsty’s greatest achievements to date. Kirsty hand picks her consulting team
and looks for individuals who fit within the company culture.
Prior to establishing Platform, Kirsty worked in-house for Woodside, Alcoa and BHP Billiton.
Kirsty said she has always enjoyed working on diverse projects within mining and resources and that
Platform’s culture reflects her personal business style – fast-paced, creative and innovative, and she and her
team solve problems to get results.
Kirsty has been a member of the WA Mining Club for several years now and was appointed to the Committee
in March 2013. Beyond appreciating the events’ networking opportunities, Kirsty is continually inspired by the speakers and loves the
educational element of the Club.
