As Promac’s General Manager, Andrew McAdam’s primary responsibilities centre on business development,
marketing and key account management. This can range from visiting clients in the Pilbara to writing tender
responses, developing pricing models or even revamping the company website.
Andrew’s background in finance, consultancy and marketing ensures he is not limited to a single function
within the company. The ability to be adaptable is critical for a firm with a smaller staff, and Andrew enjoys
getting out on site and hearing feedback from end-users about Promac’s products.
Career highlights during Andrew’s eight-year tenure with Promac have included securing long-term supply
relationships with Coates Hire and Downer EDI.
Andrew values treating clients with honesty and acting with integrity, believing that once you lose your
reputation or credibility it is difficult to recover, for whilst the West Australian mining industry may be
enormous, it is also very close-knit.
A new member of the WA Mining Club, Andrew looks forward to learning about the mining industry from the more experienced
members and to developing a broader network within the sector.

Established in 2004, Promac originally
operated a fleet of hire machinery, but
with time the company understood the
shortcomings of much of this equipment,
so in 2008 it began to design and
manufacture its own mobile lighting
towers and diesel generators.
Developed with client consultation,
Promac’s product range is perfect for
the harsh conditions within mining,
construction and civil engineering
projects, and can deliver genuine safety,
financial and environmental benefits.
The full product range includes proven
brands – Greenlite LED lighting towers,
Prolite metal halide lighting towers
and Nugen diesel generators. Already
a market leader in environmentally
friendly LED lighting, in 2013 Promac
added a low voltage LED to the line-up.
Promac services clients across Australia
and the Pacific region from its Welshpool
head office and via agents and partners
interstate and overseas. Clients include
mining companies like BHP, Mount
Gibson Iron and CITIC Pacific Mining,
civil and mining contractors like
Downer EDI and Leighton, and hire firms
including Coates Hire and Equipment
Placement. They also supply smaller
owner-operators, drilling companies
and government entities.
Forecasting the need for cost-savings,
safety and environmental improvements
to drive a change in how companies light
their projects, Promac is excited about
its new 2400w 48v DC LED – the safest,
greenest and most powerful LED light
tower the company has ever built.
