ROUNDEL CIVIL PRODUCTS
Roundel Civil Products has designed
and manufactured corrugated steel
pipes and corrugated-plate structures
throughout Australia since 1998. Over
the years Roundel is proud to have
become the supplier of choice to many of
the country’s leading resource companies
and civil engineering contractors.
With three production centres
strategically placed in Perth and Tom
Price, and Capella in Queensland,
Roundel is close to WA’s Pilbara’s
iron ore rich region and Queensland’s
Bowen Basin coal producing region.
Roundel’s galvanized STILCOR™
pipes are principally used in drainage
and stormwater applications and the
company manufactures pipes from
300
mm diameter to over 4,000mm.
The corrugated-plate structures are used
in conveyor, stockpile and personnel
tunnels, bridge-spans and underpasses
and mine decline portals. Roundel offers
the full range of corrugation profiles with
design and manufacture in accordance
with the prevailing AS2041 standard.
Roundel delivers high quality products
to the market place with second-to-none
customer service, honesty and integrity.
The company’s workforce is skilled,
loyal and committed. They maintain a
strong customer focus and offer great
flexibility when responding to clients’
needs and requirements. A recently
challenging but rewarding experience
was in 2011/2012 when Roundel ran
simultaneous on-site manufacturing
operations for all sections of Fortescue
Metals Group’s Solomon and Firetail
projects. Roundel successfully manufactured
over 4,000 tonnes of corrugated steel pipe
culverts without incident.
Responsible for all company operations, Graham Byard is Roundel’s Chairman and Managing Director.
As an employer, Graham seeks to uphold an honest, reliable and inclusive corporate culture, and he
expects employees to maintain a high level of integrity. He believes these standards shape the business
and become evident to customers.
Graham and his wife, Catherine, jointly own the business and their son Bev is the General Manager. Since
commencing operations, Graham is proud to have seen Roundel become a major supplier of corrugated steel
pipes and structures over the past 15 years. At 77 years of age, he still enjoys the day-to-day activities of
developing and expanding the business. Pondering what constitutes good advice, Graham recollects the
wise words of a wealthy client based in Jersey, Channel Islands, who said, “It is better to be pushed for space,
than to be pushed for rent” and, “The only way to sink a ship is a partnership”.
With many of Roundel’s regular clients WA Mining Club members, Graham attends Club events whenever
possible. He and his team enjoy meeting new people and catching up with familiar associates.
