Carl Kaufman is Stellar’s Manager, Mining. He manages a team of dedicated mining recruitment
professionals in Stellar’s Perth office servicing Western Australia, South Australia, Indonesia, Africa and
Europe. This involves strategic planning, recruitment and development of staff, day-to-day management
of the business, and maintaining high-level relationships with key clients.
Stellar was founded on the principles of honesty, passion, hard work and team spirit. This fits with
Carl’s personal beliefs about how to achieve success. “Work hard and be passionate about what you do,
listen to and support the people around you, and be honest with yourself and others”, advises Carl.
Probably the biggest lesson Carl has learned in his professional life is to always expect excellence from
himself and those around him. “It is amazing what individuals and teams can achieve when people believe
in them, and they believe in themselves”, says Carl. A WA Mining Club member for about 18 months now,
Carl enjoys attending Club events, regarding them as fantastic opportunities to catch up with people in an
informal setting, while learning about new projects and industry happenings.
