Meet WAMC Member – Kenton Muller
?
YOU
KNOW
DID
IPEC stands for “Interstate Parcel Express Company” – the name the company
traded under since 1955, until it became Toll IPEC in 1998.
As WA State Manager, Kenton Muller is responsible for sales, operations, administration, health and safety,
customer service, employee relations “and everything else in-between”. A role he finds both challenging
and satisfying, Kenton has worked as State Manager since 1999, having been in transport since 1978.
As he explains, everyone who works in transport knows how every day is different, and that is what he
loves about the industry.
Kenton has always enjoyed working with his team to see the infrastructure and the vast WA country network
develop. “The growth of the business has been fantastic, and leading our staff for the past 14 years has been
very rewarding”, Kenton explains. However, he is also keen to look forward, and expresses some of his future
goals are to take advantage of WA’s economic growth to further develop the business, including the country
infrastructure. Refining his abilities to listen to others has been one of Kenton’s most valuable professional
experiences to date as has “Being open, and learning from other people’s experiences”.
A member of the WA Mining Club for eight years now, Kenton finds it beneficial for networking and making
good industry contacts. He also finds it gives him an understanding about WA projects planned, so that Toll IPEC
might have a chance to service them.
