As National Sales Manager with Trelleborg Mining, Darrin Neville is responsible for finding new business
from original equipment manufacturer suppliers, and sourcing major projects with mining companies and
engineering houses. As a marketing professional, Darrin values just how firmly committed to meeting
customer needs the company truly is.
Due to caveats during the Svedala (now Metso owned) sale, the Trelleborg Group was restricted from
the mining industry for seven years, ending in 2005. Since then, Trelleborg’s purchase of Armwest in
WA signified the company’s re-establishment as a major mining industry supplier, and Darrin considers
himself very fortunate to be awarded Trelleborg’s first mill order when the mining division was re-opened.
It was for a gold mine in the Kalgoorlie region, and we are still supplying that mill today”, says Darrin.
Darrin comes from a fabrication and welding background, and believes he learned a lot when he had to
put the theory of his engineering diploma into actual practice. He has always been driven to “do everything
himself”, but as his career has progressed, he has learned the importance of “slowing down and learning how to delegate”.
Darrin has been a member of the WA Mining Club for six years.
